Linux (Gnome)
To access removeable devices in Linux, simply insert or attach the device, it should automatically appear on your desktop. If it does not appear, click on the "Computer" icon on your desktop, you should see a list of devices, click on your device. If you see multiple copies of your device, click on them one at a time until you find the one that works.
Once your are finished using your device, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you unmount it before detaching or removing it. To unmount a device, right-click on the icon for the device on your desktop and click "Unmount Volume". Wait about 10 seconds or for the light on the device stops flashing before removing your device.
