This document describes how holders of computer accounts at the School of Computer Science of McGill University can access a MS-Windows OS.

Lab Use
Log in to any GNU/Linux or FreeBSD workstation and enter the following command at the command prompt:
- rdesktop -f office.cs.mcgill.ca
When prompted, use your SOCS username and password.

From KDE
At the KDE desktop, first click on the KDE menu, and then click on "Run Command".
Enter the same command as above.

Home Use
Remote desktop servers are only accessible inside of the school, unless you are using VPN into SOCS.

To log into the windows server, you will need a Remote Desktop Client. Below are links to the Unix, Mac, and Windows clients.
